Experts Urge Fire Safety Amid Holiday Festivities
As the holiday season draws near, fire safety experts warn the public to take extra precautions to prevent fires during celebrations. According to fire safety professionals, the risk of fires is significantly higher with an increase in holiday lights, candles, and heating devices.
Holiday Fire Risks Spike
Fire departments across the country are gearing up for a surge in fire-related incidents this holiday season. - Evacuate Quickly: If a fire breaks out, leave the house immediately. Make sure everyone knows their exit routes and meeting point outside.
- Use a Fire Extinguisher: Experts recommend using a fire extinguisher if it’s safe to do so for small fires. However, if the fire is uncontrollable, evacuate right away.
- Call 911: Call emergency services if the fire cannot be contained. “Even if you think the fire is small, always call 911,” said Walters. “It’s better to be safe than sorry.”

Once operational, the rover will deploy from Athena, extend its antennas, and connect to Nokia’s 4G network, ensuring a seamless communication link back to Earth.

This project is a key step toward building a permanent lunar infrastructure. Nokia and Intuitive Machines hope to expand this technology to Mars, allowing cellular networks to play a vital role in deep-space exploration.
